
Laksa is nyonya's hot and sour noodles cooked in fish soup which called as "Asam Laksa" (Tamarind), which is used to give the soup sour taste. Asam Laksa served with shredded fish, may be mackerel or kembung fish, sliced vegetables such as cucumber, onions, red chilli's, pineapples, lettuce, common mint and ginger buds. Asam Laksa is normally served with thick rice noodles or thin rice noodles. Asam Laksa is one of the famous hawker food in Malaysia, esspecially in the Island state of penang. This cuisine mostly sold at Malay or Chinese hawkers and remember this is a savoury cuisine as well..
