Carambola..

Star fruit known as “Belimbing” in Malaysia. Becoming increasingly popular in western markets, the star fruit is a pleasure both to the taste, and to the eye. Its mild, sweet, sub-acid flavor complements many commercial juice drinks, and the fruit is also often eaten out hand. When cut, slices of the fruit have a star shape, and often adorn salads and other dishes. This fruits yellow flesh enclosed in a crisp skin is soft and juicy. Its flavor varies from sour to sweet. Star fruit is available all year around. Although it is eaten fresh, star fruit juice is very popular as it is believed to lower blood pressure.

Banana is the common name for the herbaceous plants of the genus Musa and for the fruit they produce. Bananas come in variety of sizes and colors when ripe, including yellow, purple and red. In popular culture and commerce. “Banana” usually refers to soft, sweet “dessert” bananas. Bananas from group of cultivars with firmer, starchier fruit are called plantains. Bananas classified either as dessert bananas or as green cooking bananas. There are several kinds of bananas available and varieties grown can be grouped into two categories; those eaten raw for the fine flavor, Jamaican banana. Pisang mas, Pisang rastali and those which are made into goreng pisang or banana fritters.

Spicy Fried Noodles with Twist Lemon..

This is the popular and best fried noodles in Malaysia, called as "Mamak Mee Goreng" (Indian Muslim). Mamak mee goreng are cooked in a dark soy sauce, include prawn, chicken, egg, crusted peanuts, chilli and vegetables. It is served with several halves of mini lime which should be squeezed generously over your mee goreng. Mamak mee goreng mostly available at Mamak stalls in Malaysia and is often spicy. It is commonly served during lunch or dinner. The price for a plate of Mee goreng is RM 4.50. Try this cuisine with "Syrup Limau Ice"( lemon with syrup flavored juices) or "Sryup Bandung Ice"(Syrup flavored with evaporated milk juices). Nyaaaam Nyaaaam..
Beat The Heat with "Cendol"..

Then not to forget is Malaysian very own favorite van-style stall of "cendol". It is a simple treat, shaved ice, pour in with the all time favorite combination of Gula Melaka (Palm sugar) and coconut milk, then top of with cendol ( green dough of green pea flour and juices from pandan leaves). Optionally there will either be mix in of kacang (peanut) and red beans. Normally cendol served in a small bowl. In Malaysia, you can easily find Cendol served in small stalls along roadside or at pasar malam (night market). It is a perfect beverage, esspecially during hot days. It is cheap too, usely at RM 2.00. Try this dessert during summer, sure can beat the heat..!!! hohoho...

Thirst Quencher Dessert...

"Ais Kacang" (literary translated to peanut ice) which is also known as ABC in Malaysia. This icy treat is made from shaved ice, sweet flavoured syrup, evaporated milk, Malaysian's famous gula Melaka (Palm sugar), red beans, sweetcorn, grass jelly, and many more to make the dish more rich. Malaysian enjoy this dish with various bites o different textures and flavours of the mixture.it is also cheap, usely at RM3.50. Ais Kacang is a delicious cold dessert which you can get from restaurants and cafe's around the world which serve Malaysian Cuisine. Ofcourse this is an excellent choice of dessert for summer. For those who really thirsty try this ABC or Ais Kacang. YUmmy YummY!!!!!
