Star fruit known as “Belimbing” in Malaysia. Becoming increasingly popular in western markets, the star fruit is a pleasure both to the taste, and to the eye. Its mild, sweet, sub-acid flavor complements many commercial juice drinks, and the fruit is also often eaten out hand. When cut, slices of the fruit have a star shape, and often adorn salads and other dishes. This fruits yellow flesh enclosed in a crisp skin is soft and juicy. Its flavor varies from sour to sweet. Star fruit is available all year around. Although it is eaten fresh, star fruit juice is very popular as it is believed to lower blood pressure.

Banana is the common name for the herbaceous plants of the genus Musa and for the fruit they produce. Bananas come in variety of sizes and colors when ripe, including yellow, purple and red. In popular culture and commerce. “Banana” usually refers to soft, sweet “dessert” bananas. Bananas from group of cultivars with firmer, starchier fruit are called plantains. Bananas classified either as dessert bananas or as green cooking bananas. There are several kinds of bananas available and varieties grown can be grouped into two categories; those eaten raw for the fine flavor, Jamaican banana. Pisang mas, Pisang rastali and those which are made into goreng pisang or banana fritters.
